Hi, I’m Alex! I’m based in Marietta, Georgia. Photography has always been something I’ve been very drawn to. For a long time, I let it stay as an impractical dream. Some of those reasons for that were: fear of failure, self doubts and logistics, but in 2023 I couldn’t hold that dream off anymore. I wanted to do something more meaningful than clocking in-and-out on my life. I left my 9-5 ‘career’ office job and embarked on a new journey. I choose with urgency to be true to myself and stopped listening to what others told me I should do. I haven’t looked back since. Pursuing photography has already taught me so much: about myself, about life, and about those around me. It has put me in situations I never would have been in, met people I never would have met, and opened up conversations that never would have happened. Photography helps me to better connect with myself and others. And that’s why I’m launching this business: to find a deeper sense of meaning, to savor life as it comes, and to use the talents given to me for you to experience this too. Wherever this takes me, I’m determined to follow after the joy that is photography for me. I’m honored you’re reading this. Welcome to my page, I’m thrilled you’re here!

What would I bring to your event?

Whether I’m shooting you and your spouse in the Pacific Northwest or documenting your senior year of high school in your hometown, one thing I know for certain is that my standard remains the same. Whether you’re having me document the most significant day of your life, or an ordinary day that you want captured, my intent to ensure that your story is told in a beautiful and realistic manner is important to me. As your photographer, what you can expect from me is someone who cares deeply about who you are and what your event means to you. As my client, you are so much more to me than the focus of my photos, you are the writer of a story that I intend to help you tell. This includes a priority on creating a personal relationship with each of my clients. On the slightly more logistical side of things, you can also expect timely communication and organization from my business. I know us artsy folk tend to be all over the place. However, a huge priority for me is ensuring that you can count on me to respond quickly, whether that’s to answer a question or help you with the chaos that comes with just about any large event.

My Shooting style

Similar to my goal in life, my goal as a photographer is to be genuine and authentic. I don’t want to just take good photos of you, I want to deliver photos that are full of meaning. For me, capturing a photo is extending the life of a singular moment. Photography has helped me to capture the beauty found in moments in time that otherwise get overlooked. I’m a detail-oriented person, determined to get the best I can. You can find me in the details. I strive to capture every moment that makes your event beautiful, big and small. I search for the creative and candid moments that we can look back on decades from now, remembering the exact emotion of that moment, whether that be triumph, relief, surprise or celebration. That is why I take photos: I want to give you an opportunity to hold a few of those moments.

Things I love to do when i’m not taking pictures?

I love traveling and experiencing other parts of the world. I grew up playing various sports, currently my favorite is ultimate frisbee, I can’t get enough of it. One of my favorite late-night summer activities is long boarding with friends. When I’m not busy doing one of those things, you can find me taking care of my dope houseplant collection.

Go to coffee order?

Water lol. I may be the only photographer in the world who isn’t severely addicted to iced lavender oat milk lattes. But you can still find me hanging out in coffee shops sipping on my trust water bottle. No hate on you bean-heads though lol.

Favorite movie?

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty!! This movie is criminally underrated, but maybe that’s just because it hits on everything I love: photography, long boarding, travel, spontaneity and adventure. Such a good soundtrack too!

Favorite TV Show?

One of the easiest questions I ever get. The Office!! It’s massively popular now but I claim it before then. I’ve seen it probably around 18 times start to finish and I quote it a lot. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also a great one!

Favorite song currently?

Favorite type of music?

Indie/Alternative - generally I search for music with meaning. Two of my favorite bands are Half-Alive, and Goth Babe. Don’t be fooled, Goth Babe is far from metal lol.

 FAQ’s

  • This is the question I get the most. Once we set a location, I'm happy to help with figuring out outfits! I typically send a Pinterest board to my clients after we choose a location so we are all on the same page.

  • Generally, I’m not a heavy editor. My goal is simply to add or enhance an already beautiful shot. Occasionally, if I have a specific creative vision for a shot, I will edit that image slightly heavier to execute that vision. But in general, I prefer lighter edits to keep the focus on the beauty of the authentic, raw moment.

  • Yes!! I love the idea of elopements and the uniqueness of them!

  • Absolutely. The world is a big place and I understand that Marietta Georgia only offers so much lol. Take me wherever, I’m there!

  • While I love taking photos of just about anything or anyone, there is nothing I love more than capturing relationships. Weddings, engagements, and couples shoots are some of my absolute favorite things to shoot.
